I did try changing my locale back to Dutch Netherlands but got the same message. I suspect the problem has something to do with the fact that I am English speaking living in The Netherlands.
When originally installed, the dates came up in Dutch and I did notice the date was wrong. I usually set my local to Ireland so that I can get English and Euros. I really hate the fact that I'm supposed to magically know Dutch or any European language automatically by just setting foot in the country.
I consulted the guy who installed it, and followed his advice to try activation without Internet, but it doesn't help. So I guess tomorrow I will get a major OS failure and still be without a computer. I tried the solution suggested here, but got the same error. I have emailed the hardware supplier again, but I guess he has no idea what to do either.
