Go to the Goose Quizzes site. If you fancy yourself as a global mastermind on a particular TV or film series, then the Spectacular Quarantine Quizzes could be for you. Running most nights of the week, their online quizzes are very much based on pop culture — recent themes include Star Wars, Disney, Marvel, Harry Potter and Friends.

Go to the Spectacular Quarantine Quizzes site. As this free quiz is a one-off we can't yet vouch for its quality, but if you're itching to show off your art knowledge, it's one of the most promising virtual pub quizzes so far.

Register for the Art Pub Quiz. The quiz will take place on Instagram Live, where Josh Weller also hosts a regular Sunday Night Music Quiz, if you want to try and repeat your success in the Camden Town quiz or erase your memory of it.

Go to Camden Town Brewery's online bar. Go to Josh Weller's Instagram page. The Virtual Pub Quiz is a classic general knowledge test, with the answers revealed the following day on its Facebook page. The rules are one ticket per household, but you can apparently join up with one other household by using Zoom's private chat function to discuss your answers.

Go to BrewDog's online bar. Go to the Eventures Facebook page. Speedquizzing is a new type of pub quiz that lets you enter your answers on an app rather than a pen-and-paper and rewards speed as its name suggests. It normally takes place in pubs and bars, but it's recently released a version that works remotely with live hosts, albeit only in Android devices for now. There are a few themes for example, Music Mondays , but we're looking forward to the Soccer Sundays installment that will be hosted by veteran quizmaster Stoo Pittaway on a weekly basis.

Another relaxed pub quiz designed for those who just want to play with friends over group chats in FaceTime, Zoom or Houseparty, the Inquizisition will run every Sunday night until 14 June.

So how do you do it? Tweak the following as you see fit, but this has worked wonders for us: 1. Have a different host each game, who is in charge of devising questions, moving from round to round and keeping track of scores.

Have answers submitted via text message to the host after the end of each round. Give the answers to each round once all answers are in.
